From the war memorial clock in the centre of Rhayader, take the A44 towards Leominster (East Street) and carry on along the A44 for six miles. Turn right signposted Llanyre, go past Caerfagu Products on right, carry on round several shape corners for about half a mile, then take ‘second’ turning right, (junction is opposite a stone farm) approximately one mile after Caerfagu Products. Carry on to the top, turn right and the bungalow is situated up the lane on the left hand side. BUILTH WELLS lies on the crossroads of the main A470 truck road (running from North to South Wales) and the A483 (running from North to West Wales) From Builth wells roundabout, take the right exit heading out on the A483 signposted towards Llandrindod Wells. Staying on the main A483 past the village of Howey. Continue into Llandrindod Wells, until you reach mini roundabout, take 1st exit signposted Rhayader. Continue up the road, go over bridge – keep bearing left to next roundabout – straight over onto A4081. Travel out of Llandrindod Wells for about 1 mile. You will pass cemetery on right, continue over bridge up hill pass telephone kiosk, turn right into Llanyre village (The Bell County Inn) should be on your left. Carry on through the village (outskirts) of Llanyre, staying on the top road until you come to Farm on right and a green bin on left. Turn left up lane, carry on to top, turn right and the bungalow is situated up the lane on the left hand side. CROSSGATES lies on the crossroads of the main A44 truck road (running from the East (Herefordshire) to West Wales). And the A483 (running from North to West Wales). From the roundabout at Crossgates take the A44 signposted towards Rhayader. Travel 0.5 mile until you come to a garage on the right hand side. Turn left signposted Llanyre. Travel 1.5 miles until you come to the junction. Turn right, and carry on along until you come to Farm on right and green bin on left. Turn left up the lane, carry on to the top, turn right and the bungalow is situated up the lane on the left hand side. |
